More than 60 people attended the joint PILOT4SAFETY and BALTRIS workshop on "Road Safety: Common European Training for safer roads and society" held on 27th February 2012  at the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), 99 rue Belliard, 1040 Brussels. It was free of charge and  held in English with simultaneous interpreting into French and German.

The workshop highlighted the importance of the road safety operations in the local and regional roads (secondary network) and gave important advice to regional authorities about this matter. Click on the link below to see the programme, which included a welcome speech by Stephane Buffetaut, President section TEN-ESSC and presentations from EC delegates. The project consortia also shared experiences with other stakeholders on this topic.

More details on the workshop will be given in the next issue of the PILOT4SAFETY newsletter due out next month.
